Custom T Shirt Design

Wash
Use a mild detergent that's free of harsh chemicals, dyes, fabric softeners, and bleach. Wash the shirt inside out on a gentle cycle with the recommended amount of detergent. Avoid overloading the washing machine, and try to wash 10–15 garments at a time.

Dry
You can tumble dry DTF shirts on a low cycle, but air drying is preferred to make the print last longer. You can also hang the shirt inside out to dry to prevent fading from the sun.

Other tips
Don't use fabric softener, as it can make it harder to remove dirt and odors, and it can cause the print to wear out faster. Also, avoid dry cleaning, as the chemicals and high temperatures can damage the heat transfer vinyl. When applying heat to the shirt, you can preheat the fabric with an iron for 5–10 seconds to evaporate any moisture that could affect the adhesive. After washing, avoid ironing directly on the shirt, as the heat could melt the vinyl or burn the adhesive.
